We have created this section trying to answer your questions.
Q – How do I know if an online store is a fake?
A – We have prepared for you 10 tips or suggestions so that you can check yourself if an online store is fake.
Q – Is it safe to pay by credit card?
A – Payment by credit card is the scenario that criminals want because once the money is in their possession, there is little you can do to recover it. Start by reporting the case to the police. The truth is that if you pay by credit card is safer because it is your bank that is responsible for advancing the money for you and there we can claim, anyway you must talk to them and cancel that card to ask for another.
Q – I’ve paid by debit card and I suspect I’ve been ripped off.
R – Paying by debit card is a dangerous scenario, not only because of the loss of money from your purchase, but also because you have provided your card details and you don’t know who you have given them to. Many of the fake stores we found collect bank card data for later sale in online markets of dubious reputation. The best option in this case is to unsubscribe that card and ask for another one.
Q – I have paid through Paypal and have been swindled What can I do?
A – This time we are in the best possible situation. Luckily, paying through Paypal has its advantages. For starters, Paypal has a return insurance. Get in touch with them and let them take care of the problem.
Q – What is an SSL/TLS certificate?
A – One of the main applications is the one used with the HTTP protocol, giving rise to the HTTPS or secure version of HTTP (the famous padlock next to the url of a site). It is used to securely transfer information from a website. The information transmitted between a website and a user (both ways), travels encrypted and is secure. This becomes even more important in online shops or on pages where you can make purchases as we send sensitive information such as your credit card details.
Q – What should I do if I think I’ve been scammed?
A – First, stay calm and check that your card has been charged. If you are sure that you have fallen into a deception the best thing is to download your debit card and ask for a new one, this will prevent cybercriminals use the old one to make purchases on your behalf.
Q – I made a purchase in an online store, more than a month has passed and I still have no news of my products?
A – Check your card movements and contact your bank. The safest thing is that you’ve been a victim of a scam. Try to contact the store through the contact form or even by phone (if you have one). Keep in mind that in a real online store, you will be informed at all times of the status of your products and the steps that follows the package to reach its destination. If all this is not possible, contact your bank and they will show you the steps to follow.
